A client brought me this desk that she found at a local thrift store for $35. It’s an awesome writing desk, with plenty of surface space. She wanted it painted a soft black with distressing.

I didn’t have time to take a lot of shots of the “after,” but did manage to take a couple pictures:

I decided not to heavily distress its top, but instead focus on the edges to make it look like it naturally aged over time.

I also did a rocking chair for her in the same style which I’ll post pictures of later.
